Tim is the CEO of BOSS and a firm believer that music is life itself. His experience as a radio personality, Air Force officer, live music devotee and cancer survivor led to the creation of We Rock Cancer. His doctoral studies led him to create a symposium and graduate course on "Rock and Roll Entrepreneurship" which serves as the foundation for bringing key music stakeholders together to do good. At a young age, he lost his father to kidney cancer. He knows first-hand the difference that early detection and treatment can make. As Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, his passion serves as the driving force for our team.
Umayr Shaikh is a medical student at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. He leads our team of medical students from multiple universities that provide essential assistance to our MD partners in our early detection mission. He earned his MPH at The Dartmouth Institute where he discovered a deep interest in exploring the public
Umayr Shaikh is a medical student at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. He leads our team of medical students from multiple universities that provide essential assistance to our MD partners in our early detection mission. He earned his MPH at The Dartmouth Institute where he discovered a deep interest in exploring the public health implications of the rising incidence of skin cancer—an interest that has defined his medical education journey. Umayr studied Spanish and Organizational Communication at Butler University in Indianapolis, and won a national championship in debate. He also serves as the Founder and CEO of Inspire SPLASH, an organization focused on teaching basic water safety and competency skills to underserved populations. Don't be surprised to see Umayr on the WRC stage, as he rocks both double bass and bass guitar and spends much of his free time practicing his rock and roll skills!
Sarah brings extensive operations and philanthropy leadership experience to the WRC Team. Her focus is on broadening medical professional relationships and developing and implementing event logistics and strategies. Her family's personal experiences with cancer drive her to maximize the impact of prevention and early detection.

The impact of early detection drives his desire to make a difference. His father survived skin cancer - thanks to early detection - but he lost one of his closest friends to skin cancer at 35 years old, leaving behind a wife and a one-year old son. Ned is passionate about live music. He has played guitar in several bands and his daughter is a talented singer-songwriter. He believes the power of music can be harnessed to build awareness and catalyze early cancer detection, not only improving lives, but saving them.

Adrienne knows that cancer never takes a day off, and her drive inspires us to increase early detection, and decrease the incidence of cancer.

Todd Perkins, M.D. serves as our Chief Medical Officer. He is Managing Partner at Metroderm DC and Foxhall Dermatology, both in Washington D.C., and the past president of the Washington D.C. Dermatological Society. He has served as an Attending Physician in the Residency Training Program at Washington Hospital Center where he shared his knowledge and experience with future dermatologists. As a Board Certified Dermatologist, he has daily reminders of the importance of early detection of skin cancer. Dr. Perkins brings both a distinguished medical service record as well as experience in the concert promotion business to the We Rock Cancer family. Prior to medical school, Dr. Perkins co-founded and operated the Washington Harbour Music Festival, a blues and jazz festival at the Georgetown Waterfront. This unique combination of expertise and experience positions him perfectly to provide oversight for our medical education and screening mission and to advocate for the powerful role that music plays in personal health and well being.
Lido has founded and led multiple successful small businesses through all stages of growth. He's the Founder/President of Aminad Consulting and served as co-founder/President of Censeo Consulting Group and COO of Oceaneast Associates. Manik Rath serves on our Board of Directors. He is CEO of Daybreak LLC, a provider of advanced information technology and intelligence analysis services for the national security community. He is inspired by multiple family members and friends impacted by cancer. On using live music to create connections for early detection, Manik says “I know it’s only Rock and Roll. But I like it.”

Virgil has over 33 years of experience as a rock radio executive and on-air talent. His family has been touched deeply by cancer. When he was 11, cancer claimed both his mother and grandmother. His sister is now a 17-year cancer survivor. She inspires him every day.
